Matterhorn Treks & Expedition is a company created in 2007 in order to provide a high quality adventure turistical services. Our aim is guest satisfaction during the whole trek and expedition. A well-organised and enjoyable trip is our prime objective.
Normally the company makes more than 100 trips a year of which approximately 70% correspond to trekking, 15% high mountain expeditions and 15% culture tours. Currently the company has 55 employees between administrative staff and expert mountain guides which most belong to the Sherpa community. The Sherpa community is world famous for its strength and courage when climbing great mountains.
Another aim of the company is to show worldwide the wonders of this small Asian country called Nepal. In fact Nepal is blessed with diverse natural beauty and rich variety of cultures. The foothills in central Nepal link the magnificent snow capped peaks in the north to the tropical jungles and fertile plains in the south. Also in south Nepal has one of the largest concentrations of bird species in the world, the unique one-horn Rhino and the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Lumbini. Because Nepal is located between India and China, the country shows a true multi-cultural and ethnic society.
To achieve the above, the Matterhorn has partners companies in Switzerland, Germany and Austria since 2010 and from 2019 also in Chile for all Latin America. The idea is to create a community of adventure and mountain lovers around the world, doing this activity as an ethical commitment with our clients and with the environment as well.
Matterhorn Treks & Expedition es una empresa creada en 2007 para otorgar servicios de alta calidad al turismo de aventura. Nuestro objetivo es la satisfacción de nuestros huéspedes ya sea en viajes de trekking o expediciones de alta montaña. Por tanto, un bien organizado y agradable viaje en nuestro foco final.Normalmente la empresa realiza más de 100 viajes al año, de los cuales aproximadamente un 70% corresponde a trekking, 15% expediciones de alta montaña y un 15% a tours. La empresa cuenta con unos 55 empleados entre personal administrativo y guías experimentados de montaña, muchos de los cuales pertenecen a la cultura Sherpa, cultura famosa alrededor del mundo por su valentía y fuerza al momento de escalar las montañas más altas del mundo.
Otro objetivo de nuestra compañia, es mostrar alrededor del mundo las maravillas naturales de un pequeño país de Asia llamado Nepal. De hecho, Nepal está bendecida con una bella diversidad natural y una rica variedad de culturas. Las colinas en el centro de Nepal conectan con las impresionantes cumbres nevadas del norte del país, así como con la jungla tropical y fértiles valles en el sur. En el sur de Nepal existe una de las mayores concentraciones de aves en el mundo, el único rinoceronte un cuerno y el lugar sagrado de nacimiento de Lord Buda en Loumbini. Nepal está localizado entre la India y China lo que le otorga una condición de sociedad multicultural y multiétnica, dándole la posibilidad a los visitantes de participar en numerosos y tradicionales festivales que se celebran a través del año.Para alcanzar lo anterior, Matterhorn cuenta con empresas socias en Alemania, Suiza y Austria desde el año 2010 y a partir de 2019 también en Chile para toda Latinoamérica. Nuestra idea es crear toda una comunidad mundial de amantes de la montaña y la aventura, realizando siempre esta actividad bajo un compromiso ético con nuestros clientes y el medioambiente.
