Namuna La Pass Trek

Namuna Pass is newly opened trekking route and high pass adventurous and wilderness camping trek. This Trek is among the most beautiful destination located in Annapurna Region. The trek is hardly ever trekked to this area and less crowded comparing other trekking route in Annapurna or Everest. We have designed the trek with rich cultural experience and the highest pass (Namuna Bhanjyang 5560m). You can see the spectacular scenery of Annapurna, Manaslu , Lamjung and other popular Himalaya ranges. You must pass the Namuna Pass with full of excitement and loads of fun. The Namun Pass also known as Namuna Bhanjyang or Namun La Pass has been an attraction point due to its height.

Day 01:Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m)
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Matterhorn Treks & Expedition will transfer to your hotel, We will brief about your trip activities. You’ll have rest of the day at leisure & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02:Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
Sightseeing in some of landmarks that are the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath. You can also make your last minute buying of personal items and preparation for the next day.

Day 03:Kathmandu – Pokhara(820m) – Ghale Kharka (1669m)
Early morning after breakfast we take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara 25mins. From Pokhara drive to Bhujung Khola (via Mardipul) we have our lunch here and then trek to Ghale Kharka. Overnight in camp

Day 04:Ghale Kharka – Tara Hill Top (2700m) 5hrs
Another high point of the trek! Today we climb steeply up through the forest, a panoramic view of the whole Annapurna range can be enjoyed from the pasture fields; to the extreme left Annapurna South, Barasikhar, Annapurna I, Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna lll, Annapurna lV, Annapurna ll and then further stretches up to Lamjung Himal to the right. We climb up to 2800m and after short rest, we climb for another 1 to 1½ hour to arrive at Tara Hill top. From our camp site a panoramic view of the mountains can be seen as well as some parts of Pokhara valley. Overnight in camp

Day 05:Tara Hill Top – Porche – Sikles
Today, we descend slowly through mixed forest of rhododendron and Chestnut to Parche (Siklis) until we reach yet another beautiful camp site. During the day clearings in the forest offer tantalising glimpses of the peaks. We continue to Siklis. Like many of the villages of the region, the inhabitants of Siklis are Gurungs, a people of distant Tibeto-Burman origin, who live from sheep herding and cultivation of crops of maize, wheat, rice and millet. Many ex-Ghurkhas live in the village and enjoy meeting trekkers. From the village there are excellent early morning and evening views of Lamjung, Annapurna II and Annapurna IV.

Day 06:Porche – Hog Goath(2400m) 8 hours

Day 07:Hog Goath  Acclimatisation day
Visit Glacier.

Day 08:Hog Goath – Forest Camp
Overnight in Forest camp

Day 09:Forest Camp – Thuchu Lake (4265m)
Overnight camp in Thuchu Lake

Day 10:Thuchu Lake – Dafe Kharka (3900m) 8 hours
Today’s trek will start with gradual downhill. Once we cross a river, we start climbing up hill towards the pass. It takes about 4 hours to get to the Namun Banjyang (5560m), locally known as Danfe pass, this will be the highest elevation you will attain during this trek. The trek to the pass will be strenuous on steep up hill. The view from the pass is superb. You can get the views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, Peak 29 & many more. After crossing the pass, we will start descending to our camp site by recently built trail, which is fairly easy.

Day 11:Dafe Kharka – Timang(2500m) 5 hours
As we continue our trek today, eastern valley offers splendid views of Manaslu, Himalchuli and Timang valley in front of us. We will cross a small pass called Danfe deurali then continue our down hill trek all the way to Timang. This is where we will get back to main Annapurna trail. Overnight in camp.

Day 12:Trek from Timang to Dharapani 1860m, 5 hours
O/N at Tented Camp or in Lodge

Day 13:Trek from Dharapani to Tal 1600m, 4 hours
The trail descends through scrub forests and crosses a wooden bridge back to the northern side of the Dudh Khola (1930m) and climb up through a chorten-shaped arch past a main wall to Tal. O/N at Tented Camp or in Lodge

Day 14:Trek from Tal to Bahundanda (1,311m)6/8 hours
Cross the suspension bridge to the left bank. Pass the village and follow the path through the rice paddies. Cross another suspension bridge over the Ngatti khola before climbing up onto the plateau. O/N at Tented Camp or in Lodge

Day 15:Trek from Bahundanda to Bhulbhule 840m 4 hours
Your route to Bulbule cuts across terraces, ridges and sometimes you cross small streams on the way. Stay overnight in camp or in Lodge

Day 16:Bhulbhule to Kathmandu drive by bus 8 hours. l
It is a picturesque drive on the way back to Kathmandu along the banks of the Marshyangdi and Trishuli rivers with splendid views of green hills, mountains, farming terraces and colorful villages on both sides of road. overnight in Hotel B/B

Day 17:Kathmandu
This pleasant day you may have full day at leisure at your own or can be extends your extra trip with us on additional cost or time to explore the Thamel for last day shopping and evening Matterhorn Treks & Expedition will take you for Farewell dinner.
Overnight at Hotel B/B.

Day 18:Departure from Kathmandu
Matterhorn treks & Expedition will transferred to the International Airport your departure flight to your onwards destination.
