The Millennium Trek is newest trekking area. It lies between south-east Pokhara and north east of Walling Bazaar. This trek is suitable for people of all age groups. The trek provides an opportunity to enjoy the view of more than 30 villages including Tanahun & Syangja district. The trek also offers eye pleasing view of mountains and landscape, cultural aspects of different ethnic groups. The attractions of the trek are; mesmerizing views of sunrise and sunset, diversity of flora and fauna , exotic land topography with beautiful views of Himalaya range from Annapurna to Ganesh Himal.
The Millennium trek is one of the best way to experience Nepali culture. It is an action packed ,adventure filled experience. This trek is a citizen based tourism. There is inhabitance of more than 1,00,000 people in 9 VDCs (Village Development Committees). This area is ethnically diverse and culturally rich. The trekking period is 5 nights 6 days and each day different community are selected to prepare lunch and dinner. The cultural program is organized every evening by the locals. The food is totally organic and locally produced. Nothing is served imported. Visitors do not have right to choose their home, rather the community leader will be deciding your home on arrival in village. Guests are free to join in any household activities like cooking, weaving, farming, cattle grazing etc. according to their interest. The locals will welcome you at a community hall with a glass of welcome drink, garland and local musical band.
The main region of attraction throughout the trek is the “Millennium Cave”. It is an absolute natural cave starting through narrow jungle paths along creeks and cascades.
Therefore, the route is untouched & still unknowns to the foreigners and even domestic travelers too
