Chulu West is one of the more popular ‘peak climbs’, and starts from the west of Kathmandu. A minimum of 3 weeks is needed to make the most of this area. The route follows two rivers valleys -Marshyangdi and Kaligandaki crossing between them over the Thorong-la pass, at 5,416metres. This is the highest pass on this trek. On this trek you will see many mountains higher than 6,000metres. You will find mostly Gurung, Magar, Brahman, Chhetri, Thakali, Tamang casts and their cultures.
