Langtang is to the north of Kathmandu valley.The popular trekking destinations in Nepal. Also called as the valley of Glaciers. The scenery here is spectacular and the trek more adventurous as the area is visited by fewer tourists. The west of Langtang is Ganesh Himal with a range of 6,000m to 7,000m. Inhabited by Sherpas and Tamangs.The best time for trekking in Langtang area is spring and autumn. The valley offers pine forest, snow-apped peaks, etc. Gosaikunda region is easily accessible from Kathmandu.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Matterhorn Treks & Expedition will transfer to your hotel, We will brief about your trip activities. You’ll have rest of the day at leisure.Overnight at Hotel B/B.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Sightseeing in Some of landmarks that are the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of (Pashupati Nath), the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhu Nath) and Buddhists shrine (Bouddha Nath). You can also make your last minute buying of personal items and preparation for the next day.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (8 hours)
After the breakfast we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. Enjoy the Himalayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages. Take Lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing further to Dhunche. From Dhunche, we descend down to Syabru besi. Over night at Hotel.
Day 04: Syabru Besi Trek to Lama Hotel (2748 m)
After breakfast we will cross over to the bank of the Langtang river and start out on the trail through a thick forest filled with oak, pine and bamboo trees. We may spot some wildlife such as the local monkeys, wild boar and if we are lucky the Himalayan black bear or the endangered red panda.
The route hugs the river bank for 2 hours before starting a gentle ascend until we reach Lama hotel after 6 hours. Lama hotel is located on the bank of the river so we fall asleep to sound of rushing water. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3500 m)
We leave Lama Hotel and continue to gain altitude while walking through wonderful mountain scenery with the flowing river nearby and surrounding waterfalls. As we reach the green meadows of Ghora Tabela the snowy white peaks of the Langtang range come into view.
After walking for about 3 hours we reach Langtang village, which is the headquarters of Langtang National Park. The village’s water-driven mills, flat-roofed Tibetan style houses and prayer wheels lend a quaint charm. Once settled at our guesthouse you can take some time to explore the village and the local yak cheese factory. Overnight at Lodge
Day 06: Langtang Village Trek to Kyangjin Gompa (3800 m)
Rising early we continue down Langtang valley through tiny ethnic Tibetan villages and past yaks and horses grazing in terraced fields until we reach Kyangjin Gompa after about 4 hours.
Situated on a small plain surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Langtang Range – Dorje Larpa (6990m), Langtang Ri (6370 m), Langtang Lirung (7245 m) and Yala Peak (5520 m), Kyangjin Gompa has a monastery, a government run cheese factory (built with Swiss assistance) and a few houses and lodges. Due to its high altitude Kyangjin Gompa is not occupied in winter, but during trekking season it provides a welcoming sight far into Langtang valley. Overnight at Lodge
Day 07: Explore the area around Kyangjin Gompa or climb Tserko Ri (5050 m)
Today you can either choose to rest and visit the nearby monastery and cheese factory or climb the nearby Tserko Ri.
Situated at 5050m, Tserko Ri is a steep climb from Kyangjin Gompa taking about two hours. However, the spectacular mountain views available of the surrounding peaks and up and down the Langtang valley offer plentiful reward. This is the pinnacle of the Langtang trek and energy permitting the ascent of Tserko Ri should defiantly be undertaken so that you can take in Langtang’s snowcapped mountain range in all its glory.Overnight at Lodge
Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa Trek to Lama Hotel (2748 m)
After breakfast we descending down to lama hotel through the Langtang village and The trail follows a general decent enabling us to gain a lot of ground quickly while at the same time allowing ample time for rest and lunch. Following the Langtang river we pass through Ghora Tabela until finally descending to Lama Hotel. Overnight at Lodge
Day 09: Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi
For variation we will follow the so called ‘high’-route back to Syaru besi. This trail splits of the route we took upwards shortly after leaving Lama Hotel. The route goes to the small village of Syarpagaon, and continues onto Bhanjyang gaon and Khangjung before descending back to Syabru besi. This was the primary route to Langtang before the new trail (which we followed on our way up) was build (6 hrs).Overnight at Lodge
Day 10: Syabru besi to Kathmandu(1350 m)
After breakfast we drive to Kathmandu around 8 hours and transfer to your hotel.B/B plan.
Day 11 Kathmandu
This pleasant day you may have full day at leisure at your own or can be extends your extra trip with us on additional cost or time to explore the Thamel for last day shopping and evening Matterhorn Treks & Expedition will take you for Farewell dinner.
Overnight at Hotel.B/B plan.
Day 12 Departure from Kathmandu
Matterhorn treks & Expedition will transferred to the International Airport your departure flight to your on wards destination.
Día 1: Arribo a Katmandú (1.300 mts)
Llegada al Aeropuerto Internacional Tribhuvan de Katmandú donde un representante de Matterhorn le llevará a su hotel. En este lugar se hará una breve descripción sobre su viaje. El resto del día es libre.

Día 2: Katmandú y sus atractivos
Visita a algunos de los principales atractivos que forman parte de los Sitios Patrimonio de la Humanidad de Katmandú como son: Dubar Square, el templo sagrado hinduista de Pashupati Nath, el famoso Monkey Temple (Swayambhu Nath) y el santuario budista de Bouddha Nath.

Día 3: Katmandú – Syabru Besi
Temprano por la mañana se toma dirección noroeste desde Katmandú, donde se podrán disfrutar vistas del Himalaya y villas rústicas que muestran el estilo de vida de la montaña. Se almuerza en Trishuli Bazar para continuar a Dhunche desde donde se desciende hasta llegar a Syabru Besi.
El viaje en total toma unas 8 horas.
Día 4: Syabru Besi – Lama Hotel (2.748 mts)
Después del desayuno se cruza el rio Langtang para empezar el trek que se desarrollará por bosques de robles, pinos y bamboos. Es posible además apreciar parte de la vida salvaje de la zona como son monos, jabalíes y si se está con suerte el oso negro y el panda rojo.
La ruta transcurre por la orilla del rio por 2 horas antes de iniciar un suave ascenso para llegar a Lama Hotel tras unas seis horas de viaje.
Día 5: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village (3.500 mts)
Tras dejar Lama Hotel por la mañana se sigue ganando en altura mientras se camina por esplendidos paisajes de montaña, acompañados además por corrientes de agua provenientes de rios y cascadas de todo alrededor. Una vez alcanzado los prados verdes de Ghora Tabela es posible ver las cimas nevadas de la cadena Langtang.
Después de caminar una tres horas se llega a la villa de Langtang, la cuál es la capital del Parque Nacional.
La villa posee molinos de agua, casas de techo plano estilo tibetano y pintorescas ruedas de oraciones.
Día 6: Langtang Village – Kyangjing Gompa (3.800 mts)
Este día el camino desciende a través de pequeñas villas tibetanas donde se pueden ver grupos de yaks pastando en los campos de terrazas. Tras unas cuatro horas de caminata se llega a Kyangjing Gompa.
Situada en una pequeña planicie rodeada por cimas nevadas de la cadena Langtang -Dorje Lakpa (6.996 mts), Lagntang Ri (6.370 mts), Lagtang Lirung (7.246 mts) y Yala Peak (5.520 mts)- Kyangjin Gompa tiene un monastetio, una fabrica de quesos y una pocas casas y alojamientos. Debido a gran altitud Kyangjin Gompa está deshabitada durante el invierno.
Día 7: Explorar alrededores de Kyangjin Gompa o escalar Tserko Ri (5.050 mts)
Este día se puede elegir descansar y visitar el monasterio y la fábrica de quesos o escalar el Tserko Ri.
Situado a 5.050 metros sobre el nivel del mar, Tserko Ri es un ascenso fuerte de alrededor de 2 horas. Sin embargo, los espectaculares vistas de montaña y del valle de Langtang son una recompensa que vale el sacrificio. Este es la culminación del trek de Langtang.
Día 8: Kyangjin Gompa – Lama Hotel (2.748 mts)
Después del desayuno de toma el camino de descenso que va a través de la villa de Langtang. Siguendo el curso del rio Langtang se pasa por Ghora Tabela para finalmente desdecender hasta Lama Hotel.
Día 9: Lama Hotel – Syabru Besi
Como variación se seguirá la llamada “high-route” en el camino de regreso a Syabru Besi. Esta ruta se separa de la ruta tomada en la ida un poco después de dejar Lama Hotel. La ruta va a la pequeña villa de Syarpagaon y continúa sobre Bhanjyanggaon y Khangjung antes de descender de vuelta a Syabru Besi. Esta fue la primera ruta a Langtang antes de que el nuevo camino fuese construido. La ruta completa toma unas 6 horas.
Día 10: Syabru Besi – Katmandú
Después del desayuno se conduce por unas 8 horas para llegar a Katmandú
Día 11: Katmandú
Día de relajo para explorar Thamel y realizar las últimas actividades. Por la tarde Matterhorn Treks & Expeditions organiza una cena de despedida.

Día 12: Partida desde Katmandú
Matterhorn Treks & Expeditions transporta cada pasajero al Aeropuerto Internacional para la toma de los respectivos vuelos que lo llevarán a su destinación.
